For example, did the belief in subjugating the larger population of slaves in Sparta lead to a culture based entirely on the subjugation of slaves? Or did the beliefs in the honor of battle in Rome lead to a culture based entirely on war and battles? (and half naked men fighting lions brought over from god-knows-where for no other reason but to make a mess)
